This 4-hour NRA Seminar covers the most popular pistol, rifle, and shotgun types. safety, action types, terminology, and ammunition. The course also covers what to expect and important considerations for your first firearm purchase.

This is a 4-hour non-NRA course for the new or novice shooter, for someone who has been away from the shooting sport for some time, or for someone wanting to review the fundamentals and sharpen their shooting skills.

This 4-hour in-classroom course teaches students the fundamentals for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. Students are taught the essentials of firearms, parts and terminology, gun care, and safety.

This course provides a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper use of a specific action type. This course is 4 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning the fundamentals of effective pistol shooting.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals and is considered the foundation for all subsequent NRA pistol courses. This 8-hour course covers in-depth safety, firearm, and shooting fundamentals and concludes with an exam and pistol shooting qualification.

Students learn the techniques to develop a defensive mindset and how to be able to use a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. Students will complete 4 hours of classroom and 4 hours of timed qualification shooting drills at varying distances.

This course teaches students the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective, and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. Prerequisite: This course is for adults who may legally possess a firearm, are of good repute and possess defensive pistol-handling skills. Participants are taught the basic legal concepts relating to the use of firearms in self-defense and general gun safety rules and those safety principles specific to a defensive situation.

This 8-hour course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for the protection of self and family, and provides information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense. Students will shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition and learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms, and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.

The South Carolina CWP course requires students to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely carry and use a concealed firearm legally, ethically, and with confidence. Successful completion of the South Carolina Concealed Weapons (CWP) Course requires students to demonstrate an understanding of South Carolina Concealed Carry Law and basic holster draw, self-defense handgun proficiency should they be required to use a firearm for personal defense, or the defense of another.

NRA's Refuse To Be A Victim® program teaches the tips and techniques you need to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid criminal confrontations. The NRA Instructor Curriculum consists of two parts, 8 hours each. 1. The NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) Course and 2. The NRA Instructor Training Course in the discipline you wish to teach (Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun) and receive the endorsement of the NRA Training Counselor conducting that training.
